For Home
The mac at home might be a media server, it might be a workstation. Maybe a computer for the kids. Apple provides very distinct form factors in their desktop computers.
Mac Mini

Visit Apple $699.00 – $999.00 Base
The smallest and most easily tucked-away mac. These little guys have processing power similar to the MacBooks; to keep the size down they are built using laptop computer components.
They are great to transition from your old PC to the mac platform, because you bring your monitor, USB keyboard and mouse along and plug them into the Mini. The Mini is less suited to heavy graphics work and programs that require lots of processing power. They do really well with the iLife suite, iWork and MS Office, among the usual web and email stuff.
People have adapted them to many uses, including home media servers and even in-car installs.
The iMac

Visit Apple $1,199.00 – $1,999.00 Base
This is the most popular desktop Apple makes. They are also built using components from laptop computers, however the are much more powerful than the Mini, therefore suited to things like the Adobe Creative Suite, some gaming and so forth.
As most know, they have a large display with the computer built-into the display housing, giving you a very compact computing experience that can e transported fairly easily. With the included bluetooth keyboard and mouse and wifi, the only wire plugs into your power outlet.
The Mac Pro

Visit Apple $2,499.00 – $4,999.00 Base
This is the unchallenged leader of the mac Lineup. Available with dual 6 -core processors and 32 gigs of ram, the mac pro can bring more power to the table than you have ever experienced in a workstation. The beautiful aluminum enclosure is designed to maximize airflow, so even when running at full power, the computer barely makes any noise at all.
This computer is suited for any job you can imagine. I you need to run complex scientific simulations, play hardcore 3d games or want maximum performance from the Adobe Creative Suite, this is the computer for you. While not cheap, like all Apple products, they represent the bleeding edge in technology and deign sophistication.
