Barcelona

Barcelona is a fantastic city, I’m sure most will agree. The weather is outstanding, the people are beautiful and it has an incredibly rich Architectural heritage. It is home to a large body of work by Antoni Gaudi, a prolific architect in the 20′s and 30′s.

The jewel of Barcelona is, without doubt, the Sagrada Famila. This is perhaps the last cathedral that will ever be built using the traditional means of cathedral building; funded by donations alone and built one bay at a time, the cathedral has taken more than one hundred years to build. Today, they employ modern tools and an impressive six tower cranes, yet will still need up to 20 years to complete the massive, detail-ridden structure.
